Graham Heating, Cooling & Generator FAQ
How long does a heat pump install take?
Usually one day for a straight swap. On a recent Graham job we installed a 2.5-ton heat pump and air handler between about 7:45 AM and 2:15 PM. See our Graham heat pump page.
My ductless mini-split works for a while and then quits heating. What's going on?
That pattern often means low refrigerant from a leak. A Graham manufactured home had a one-head mini-split that only worked after the main switch was reset. We recovered the refrigerant, nitrogen-tested for leaks, replaced the Schrader cores and recharged it. Two days later we went back and added a leak sealant with UV dye so any future leak is easy to find.
Can you fix a refrigerant leak instead of just recharging?
Yes. On two Graham repairs (2025 and 2026) we recovered the refrigerant, pressure-tested with nitrogen, replaced the leaking Schrader cores, evacuated and recharged. One of them also got a new filter drier. More on our Graham AC repair page.
How long does a standby generator install take?
On recent Graham installs our crew was on site for one day (for example 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM, and 8:16 AM to 12:42 PM). We're an authorized Generac dealer.
I'm on propane. Can I check my generator's fuel without walking out to the tank?
Yes. We've added Generac propane level monitors to Graham generators, both during new installs and as a separate add-on. We also do a yearly pre-paid generator tune-up, and we follow up if the controller shows a fault code.
